Progress gets a flat tire
So, Friday, I left the first voicemail for the principal at 10. I called again at 2:30. He actually picked up the phone this time, but was in the middle of dismissal and asked if he could call back. Okay. I called at 4:30 and left another voicemail. Sent a message to the placement officer this weekend letting her know what had happened (keep in mind that we were thinking I'd be starting today). At 8:30 this morning I left a message at the principal's office. Just recently sent another email to the placement person to give her an update. I've done everything I was supposed to, right? So frustrating -- especially because she'd asked me to call her on Friday if anything went wrong, but at what point do you say, "Okay, now something's wrong"? Eh. I think I've done my part. It's particularly frustrating as I have to make up a schedule by Wednesday of when I'll turn in my portfolio pieces, but I don't really see how I can schedule when I'll turn in a unit plan and assessments until I actually have a chance to get and talk to a supervising teacher.
