is anybody bothered by newspaper headlines? i mean i understand that they have limited space to try to catch attention and lure people in, but can't they make headlines sound a little more fluid or something? maybe it's some newspaper subculture grammar i don't understand.

'GOP rivals clash on immigration, torture'

so...they're arguing about immigration and torture? or is listening to their squabbling torture? i'm more inclined to believe the latter. i mean, would it be so heinous to replace that comma with an ampersand to clear things up? no?
