The Peacock
I didn't want to release him until he had a name, but...bah. I have a last name for him, but I haven't given him a first name. Anyway, basically, he's from an AU Earth where almost all animals are extinct, and gain the ability to become humans in order to survive. More on that later.
Also, a Meta is the term for the animals who can metamorphose into humans. :)

Hair: Blue with two thin green streaks in the front
Eyes: Turquoise, blue, or green, usually (default: black)
Ethnicity: Japanese by birth
Personality: Because his voice is silky and melodic, he rarely - if ever - speaks. However, his singing is horrible (as is expected of a peacock Meta). He is very philosophical, and is almost completely detached from the world around him. Being a peacock, he cannot help but love himself, and yet, he curses his existence. He tends to be melancholic, and frail, because he so adamantly resists his animal nature. This also makes him somewhat mentally unstable. He will, on occasion, try to hurt himself, though he knows that nothing will come of it. He has a habit of spending fortunes to be clothed and surrounded by beautiful things.
Background: Coming from a wealthy family, he's a bit of a spoiled brat, and has never really worked. The money for his finery comes from his parents, who gladly supply it on the condition that he's allowed back home only once every five years. He has other siblings, but doesn't know how many, since he is out of contact with the rest of his family. He lives in the Muromachi/Ashikaga era (1333 - 1573) - specifically in the 16th century.
