In the radio show "Tsubasa no To Base" on Dec 4, 2014, Takki talked about the backstage of FNS, where most of the Johnny's groups got together to perform for Matchi-san's 35th anniversary. Imai Tsubasa from Takki and Tsubasa was diagnosed with Ménière's disease (read more about the disease
here) recently and he's been staying at the hospital. He had to stop all of his work-related activities in order to recover so Takki has been hosting Tsubasa's radio show, and performed at FNS by himeslf. A fan wrote to the radio show to ask about backstage episodes at FNS and here is what Takki has to say:
"Backstage episodes...okay, well it's been a long time since so many members of Johnny's got together, I had a chance to see and talk with everyone. Of course Tsubasa came up a lot in the conversations.
First Nakai-kun ran up to me and said, "Did it arrive? Did it arrive?" (in Nakai-dialect "todoida-BE?"XD) I had no idea what he was talking about. Apparently Nakai-kun bought an air purifier and sent it to Tsubasa. I didn't know about this, but I thanked Nakai-kun. Nakai-kun believes that in order for Tsubasa to recover, it has to start with creating a healthy environment, that's why he gave him an air purifier. After that he talked about home electronics for almost an hour. It seems like he's been into those things lately. Nakai-kun actually went to the electronics shop personally to pick out an air purifier. After he bought it he sent it to Tsubasa via the managers. During our conversation I thought, "He is such a sweet big brother!"
During our conversation, Kinki Kids were right beside us, and Tsuyoshi-kun is also good friends with Tsubasa. They were very worried about him. So I also talked about Tsubasa with Kinki Kids.
Now during the actual performance while the music was blasting, we were in backstage standing by. Kimura-kun came over and sat in front of me, crossing his legs, he was so cool/kakkoii. Since it's been a long time since I saw him I thought to myself, "He is indeed so kakkoii~" He glanced over at me, "Is Tsubasa-kun okay?" (in a cool tone) Just one short question. I totally freaked out, "Yes...he's trying really hard...um...to recover..." He replied with a simple, "hm." That was all we talked about, but for Kimura to still remember about Tsubasa somewhere in his mind while we were all concentrating so hard for our upcoming performances, and to ask about him like that made me very happy.
V6 also, Sakamoto-kun and Inohara-kun were next to me, they said to me, "Takki I know it's tough for you, but if there's anything I can do to help I will do it!" So many different senpais, people I have not seen in a long time, they were all very concerned for Tsubasa. I was happy about that. It was a very warm backstage."
