淋雨

Jan 15, 2012 03:51

Today was first time I've ever sneaked out of the house at 3am in the morning and got drenched in the morning thunderstorm for two whole minutes before going back home and finding the door bolted from inside. My mum unlocked the door immediately when I rang the doorbell though. She was also considerably calm about the situation, given how she normally reacts.

Conclusion: my mum must have found out about my little night excursion just before I left and locked it to tell me that she knew.

It was cold, I was shivering, the rain drops hurt (duh), I was rather panicked at being locked out: it was also the most fun I've had in a while.

Consequently, you have no idea how embarrassingly stupid I felt when I told her that the sole reason I went out was to "淋雨" because I had really wanted to dance in the thunderstorm and decided to do it just before my bath. I even had the water heated before I left the house; that was how "prepared" I was.

When kids consciously get themselves drenched in the rain for the experience, novelty and just to get some peace of mind, that's a sign that they're seriously too sheltered. Still, it feels good to be able to decide whether to get drenched or not once in a while *smiles* Baby steps for a new year and new beginnings, darling. Really small baby steps.
