Software spots the spin in political speeches

Very interesting. When the technology gets even more refined and used more widely, I'll be interested to see what this sort of thing does to the political speeches that follow.

Perhaps for those of us that don't trust Obama for squat, it's being more sensitive to the spin-doctoring that's going on. I know hearing the phrase "Universal Health Care" is enough to make me cringe, but there has always been something that I didn't like when he spoke. It may even be what they noted as his emotive work, as I don't want someone to rile me up without thinking; I would rather have a politician that speaks plain facts and doesn't go all flowery and emotional.

As I find out more about Palin's views, the more I'm sure I couldn't stomach voting for McCain. That was only a maybe before, anyway. I'll probably do what I've done before: Vote for a looney in a third-party, hoping that they'll get enough votes to get some funding and recognition... Maybe a viable third choice. Though "None of the Above" is looking better with each day.
