We had decided that Fresh Step and Scoop Away scoop litters were just too dusty, even though they have been working decently at keeping down odors and all with three kitties. (Tidy Cat, on the other hand, didn't work well at all, when we tried it.) So, we found this one - PaPurr - and gave it a shot. We've had it in use for one week and the experience was so-so. While the dustiness of it was very low and a pleasant surprise, this litter doesn't clump very well. In fact, just a light shake of the scoop to get the non-clumped litter off the scoop (before it inevitably drops off of the scoop on the way to the basket) is enough to sometimes cause the clumps to break apart. It does keep the smell down as well, so... if no other attempts at other litters work, we may return to this one. (The name, incidentally, is because it's a litter made of recycled paper.) We've got another new one for this week and we'll see how this one works out. Thank heavens the cats don't care what is in the boxes, so long as they have boxes. Actually, we did have one of them use the box when it was empty of litter during a cleaning... thus, I know they only care about having a box to go in.
