It's all part of the process...

....that's sort of how I felt the past few days. Wistful...traipsing across some distant wilderness...cold...

So, as you know, it snowed last Friday. A LOT (for us). Now, I love the snow. A lot. And I would be giddy anytime it decided to up and drop 4-5" in one evening. But it just HAD to happen on the one day I didn't want it to. Our sleepover/dinner party had to be cancelled.
The bank actually closed at 4 (a miracle!), but by that time, the roads were horrendous. Some brainiac in Athens must have decided that we didn't need to salt the roads this time. *facepalm* So, cars are veering, sliding, and careening all over the roads, I'm bottom-of-calf deep in wet, mushy snow, and dad's forcing me to let him drive me home. Heh, turns out my car was the better choice, and I drove most of the way--until this one crappy hill on Slack Road. Dad's the worst backseat driver ever. And there was a line a traffic all around me driving like morons. If you don't know how to drive in snow, don't. Just don't. It took an hour to get home--usually a 15 minute trip. But I did--and we didn't even have to use the 4-wheeler. It kept snowing until midnight, then turned to rain... o.O?
Saturday, I was kinda bummed, because I had wanted to get together with the girls so bad. So, I opened the blinds so I could see the snow that had started falling again, began putting together the new bookshelf I got for my birthday, and cranked up Nine Inch Nails' "Ghosts" album. I swear that CD was made for a cold, snowy day. That night, I worked on some art, and felt pretty good about it.
Sunday, church service was called off, so I slept in. It was so nice, and my room was nice and warm. Didn't do anything the whole day, though, besides a little bit of coloring.

Here are a couple of pictures of the snow at my house:

Jenny and I went shopping a couple of weeks ago and we had a good time. I didn't get too much, though. I wish we could do stuff like that more often.

My birthday was last Tuesday, and it was pretty much just like any other day. Eh. But, Darlene got me the Naruto calendar and the first Bleach movie, and Renee got me a Borders gift card. Adam got me a BaM card...lol. Yay, books!

But I've been pushing myself to work on this stupid chibi drawing...lol. I can say I'm about half done with the coloring. I'm really not sure what to do with the background, though, but I'll be glad when I'm done!
