New Hope for the Pagan Community rises with the Solstice sun

In other news I went to a really awesome winter solstice celebration last night. It was feast, with harp music, carol-singing, story-telling and a puppet show as well as ritual. It's the way Yule is supposed to be! Held in a beautiful historic Masonic temple. It was a collaboration between Church of the Earth, Coven of Standing Stones and CoG as a fundraiser for the Northern Dawn Covenant of the Goddess chapter (which next year will be celebrating it's 25 anniversary!) I was very impressed and it gave me new hope for the pagan community, which I'd been despairing of its dysfunctional/irresponsible nature. There are still good people out there who are willing to work hard and can do amazing things.
To show my appreciation I stayed after and helped them clean up.
