Oklahoma
Well... I got here on Tuesday afternoon. Its hard to think that its now Friday and that I've been here for three days. This is the longest I've ever been away from home without any of my family. Things here... are okay. Its not great, nothing is great, but its been so much better than being stuck at home with nothing to do and nothing to look forward to.
I stay off to the side in a cluttered room, sleeping on an air mattress that likes to deflate (there must be a hole in it) every night. Oddly, I haven't slept this well in months, not even when I was able to sleep on weekends.
Everyone thinks I'm too quiet even though for me I've been more outgoing than I usually am. The guys are all pretty quiet themselves.. Really Bob has been the only one to talk to me too much. I've been kind of bored, but I know that its nothing compared to how I'd be at home.
I miss Loki and Aramis terribly. The dogs are okay, but they're still dogs. And I like Kuma and Bear (Brian's cats) but they're still not use to me yet, so they both still shy away. I can tell they're not too overly use to attention.
I'm only just now starting to get use to things. I've been referring to Ohio as home this whole time, for the first time I caught myself calling this house home. And I suppose that it is home now.. in an odd sense of the word since I know in a month I won't be staying here anymore. But for now.. this is my home.
Oklahoma itself... is oddly so much more rural than Ohio. Its odd, very odd. I have to say.. I prefer Ohio, but things are as they are. Over all, I'm glad I'm here. I needed this, terribly.
