Nomadic Soul

I’ve lived in Harrisburg, PA for roughly seven years now. I think that’s just about long enough.

Unfortunately, I must remain at least one more year because of reasons. That’s fine, I can deal. The truth remains that relocating for me, while mentally and emotionally easy, is logistically more complex than that. This time around in particular I ( Read more... )

Hee! Yes. *hug* I'd consider the outskirts. Not really an inner city fan anymore.

Canada wants to warn you that Harper isn't any better than Romney. Sure, he's not "against" women's rights, but he's not "for" them either. In his free time he likes to defraud taxpayers, blockade environmental groups, and rig elections, but he has LegoHair and loves hockey and cats ( ... )

Yep, 2005.

Canada's still on the list, but due to comparative ease, still at the bottom under the 'President Romney' panic. I would love to live in Canada for a while but there's a lot more paperwork involved in crossing borders.

Hmm I thought I commented on this! But was on my cellphone in a brick building SO...

I'm not going to try to convince you to move to my town because as much as I ADORE this area I think you'd get bored quickly - most do. Plus jobs are scarce... I will tell you we are the northernmost part of Northern California, and some even consider us an inkling of the PNW. I think you'd love Portland/Oregon area. I often think of moving there myself - if I moved from CA it'd be Oregon or WA. Lots of nature surrounding you to inspire and soothe, but if you live in a town like Portland you get all the things to do to go with it, plus Portland is so progressive &... refreshing, and the LGBT community, while I am not a part of it directly, is pretty active there too. You'd definitely not be the "lonely queer in Hicksville," hahaha.

The logistics will work themselves out with some planning ahead & creativity. God I hope Romney doesn't get elected.

Portland is on the list. I just need to research some more and maybe take a trip out there one time. The only thing about the west coast as a whole is most of my favourite bands don't go that far west. I'd miss them. :/
