More random thoughts on the upcoming fashion season
Been watching some more Fall/Winter 2009/2010 runway. Versace, Dior, Givenchy and such... what the hell?
I'm honestly not liking a lot that's going on. The pointed shoulder pads, the boxy dress (no figure) and this weird felt-like-fur they keep poking at. Maybe a metalic wanna be texture. Hammer pants? Come on Dior, that didn't work last Spring/Summer season, get over it.
Plunging necklines with the shoulder pads does nothing for the figure. It doesn't even look good on size 0 models.
I'm probably going to repeat some things I've said in previous posts.
Reptile leather, fur, and mettalics are in. I did see some feathers. Haven't seen any leggings though. Higher wastes on skinny jeans.
Black and solid colors. I did see traces of neon.
There's a side strap I've been seeing. Stillettos are back. Not that they were ever gone.
Make up is natural, darker eyes, nude lips.
Hair still away from face, either slicked back or pulled back. Some with poofy hair in the back.
Chanel though... I must say I enjoyed the runway. The blacks with the accents looked nice.
Lagerfield's was OK. Not bad.
Gucci, nice. Like the deep colors and metalics. Dolce and Gabbana, over the top but have the fur.
