(no subject)
Well, I got my federal tax refund yesterday and it's about gone... I'm telling you what, I can spend money like no one's seen a person spend money before. First of all I paid my cell phone bill. I've let myself get a bit behind on that. Okay, a lot behind. Behind as in they sent me a notice of disconnection if I didn't send them money. LOL. But now they are paid off, so they can get off my back. I made a house payment and a home equity loan payment. I opened a savings account for Maisey, so now she has the same amount of money that Jhonen has in his account. And I added her to my direct deposit through work. Unfortunately, the largest portion of my refund went towards a new washer and dryer. But, luckily, Shandee and Josh hooked me up, and I got a bad ass, pewter colored, top of the line, front loading Whirlpool Duet set. Sweet. I also paid a doctor bill, my fee for my transfer orientation at UT, a credit card bill, and two payments on a loan.
Last night I took Jhonen to Chuck E Cheese. We met up with Shandee, Raina, Heathermack, Owen, and Heather's roomate. (I forget his name!) They were so late... Jeez! Jhonen and I walked in at about 7:00 pm and I thought to myself, What the hell am I getting myself into? I just wanna go home... But we got pizza and drinks and ate and Jhonen started in on the games. Everyone else showed up and then it got kinda fun. Jhonen was kicking Heather's ass at skee ball. Raina was occupied in the toddler section. Owen was playing skee ball and this baseball game. Then Erin showed up with her son Aidan, her sister's kid and her sister's roommate's kid. She looked so overwhelmed. LOL. She was happy though because she passed her boards for her LPN, so that's cool. Congratulations, Erin! Unfortunately, Jhonen and I had to bail out early. We cashed in his tickets and left at about 9:00 pm. I had to get him back to Oak Harbor to my mom's house by 10:00 pm so I could in turn get to work by 11:00 pm. Ugh, way too much driving. But it was fun, and I'm glad I got out of the house and got to socialize with some real life people. LOL.
Work last night was eh. I had seven total patients. But they were all either geriatric or a pain in my ass. One was a house patient from the second floor who had to come down in a huge bed with two traction bars and an IV pole with an IVAC and a morphine pump. One was in so much pain I had to wait a half hour for pain meds to kick in so they would hold still on my table. My last patient of the night had the shittiest IV, so I had to wait for a nurse to come over and start another one, and the poor patient was deathly afraid of needles. Well, I punched in at 10:51 pm instead of 10:53 pm, so that gives me an extra fifteen minutes, and I also punched no lunch, so that's another thirty. At least I got some overtime.
In between patients I also bought a treadmill. LOL!
This morning I hung out at my mom's house with the kids for a bit. Then I took Jhonen to register him for tee ball. Now we're just chilling until karate at 1:00 pm. I've got both kids home with me this weekend, and I'm also on call, so we've got no plans what-so-ever aside from sitting around the house and just chillin'.
