I wish I could do a better movie trailer voice impression

1 movie left to guess on the IMDB keyword meme.

On the technology front, is anyone else on my f-list a mac user? I find myself desirous of an m4a to mp3 converter that'll work on a mac.

But what I really wanted to do was give in and make a completely useless post that I've been wanting to do for a little while now. You have now been warned of ( Read more... )

movies, bourne, technology, just shut up orlando, should i just make a gilroy tag?

lol I watched Ultimatum today on HBO, and I remember seeing 'making of' things about how they did the chase and fight scenes for it. I'm not sure at all how it compares to the first two movies but from what I could pay attention to between cooking and kids it looked. Kinda like a freeforall with fists and various household objects.

Though god, GOD, sometimes I don't understand fandom at all. I usually stay on the edges and look at things and don't really participate, but a lot of the time the things I see just have me gaping in horror.

It's the best one~ (though not by much! and having seen the first two is probably a good thing)
The difference between the fight scenes in Identity, which was directed by Doug Liman, and the second two, which are Greengrass, isn't so much the actual fights. Even in Identity you've got surprising usage of desktop items and suchlike, all quite "everything can be a weapon." It's the way the fights are handled. One of the things I admire most about Greengrass is that he doesn't put music over fights. He just uses the sound of the fight itself. To me, this makes the violence significantly less romanticized.
Also, lol, you get Greengrass' infamous camerawork.

Yeeeaaah, what part of "these two characters genuinely want to kill each other" leads to "omg they'd have hot sex"? >.<

So I've heard~.

Yeah, the distinct lack of orchestra accompaniment was nice. When someone is punching someone else in the face through a book, that's really all the percussion you need.

I have a feeling I need to watch more Greengrass.

ffffff idk man idk. I'm still trying to wrap my head around Firefly fandom's strange proclivities. \@n@/

Well, I at least am a bit of a biased source.

Exactly my feelings.

So do I, really. I just know Supremacy and Ultimatum. But I understand the people who have problems with, like, motion sickness from the camerawork. I am not one of them, but I understand them.

I don't want to know, do I.

And I need to get to bed. Good night!

Only a little, but that's okay.

I get motion sick fairly easy, but I didn't have a problem with Ultimatum. Maybe it's because I was distracted at the time and wasn't immersed in it, but as of now the camera work hasn't turned me off his other movies if/when I find them.

Oh, it's just your standard fandom madness. There's a small cast on a tiny space ship and plenty of combinations, as far as shipping goes. And then there's the time I saw a River fanmix that actually had KRAWLING on it. You know, the Linkin Park song about woouuuuunds that wiiiiill not heeeaaaaaal.

Night!

I am glad to hear that!

Oh god, aubergine_pilot and I once had a discussion about how there is almost no fandom untainted by Linkin Park. It's a terrible thing to do to many characters, and yet people persist. *headdesk*

I was glad to not throw up!

ffffffffalksdjf I have no idea how people can think that works. But then I'm picky about fanmixes and most of the ones I see for River are just full of WAT. Like, one had 'Ooh Child' on it and I boggled for days.

People are usually glad of that!

I just wish people would stop making videos to Linkin Park songs. Really. Just...stop.

It's quite a good thing to have not happen and then be glad of.

What about Evanescence? People need to be brought to life. Ahem, sorry, liiiiiiiiife.

Very true.

Oh god, I found some of those too. NOT COOL PEOPLE. CEASE AND DESIST, NOW.

BUT THERE'S SO MUCH EMOTION AND DEEP MEANING TO BE HAD!

pfft idk. It probably wouldn't be as bad if they looked cool so you could just mute it and watch the fun. All the ones I've seen have been cursed with squishy aspect ratios, ~rainbow color filters~, and the occasional old school PowerPoint "checkers- left" cut transition.

I have to admit, once I see that song choice listed I tend not to give anything with it a chance.
