IGDA meeting and other links
Not a lot in this entry but at least months haven't passed. I went to a meeing of the local chapter of the International Game Developers Association. Here's a write up about the meeting:

(edit) If you've ever wondered what the inside of Firaxis looks like, where they develop Sid Meier's Civilization, now you can get a slight idea. This is only the common area near the entrance so don't expect too much.(end edit)
From one of my favorite sites ( http://nodwick.humor.gamespy.com/ ) there is this blast from the past of opening credits from various SF/Fantasy shows of the past. I'm sorry for any mental anquish this causes:

I'm going to try and hit the State Fair with my mom on Saturday but the weather may not cooperate. I also need to figure out when I'm going to run down to the Ren Faire.
Denise and I just finished up "Last Exile" and I'm not sure what will be next.
