How do people balance work and family?

I feel like I'm missing out on my flatmates' lives. I wish I could have been there to help. I could be a much better friend and flatmate. I've just been focusing on school stuff, and even that I'm just attempting to stay afloat on.

It's 5.30am and I have a paper to hand in, in 4 hours.

Tim Keller's DVD discussions with non-Christians are a great starting point - they give great context for the kind of skepticism that people in big cities deal with.
