Condensing All My Junk
Okay, so I've now accumulated a fuckton of little webholes. "Gee"mail, KO Cupid, Facetard, Tardspace, Flucker, and a billion other stupid little places to spend my free time, all of which seem to think that I need to devote inordinate amounts of time to things on their particular webhole. Answering questions, taking quizes, finding "friends," updating people about the inane activities of my day, spewing the drivel that is my daily life into "posts" and "entries" and blah fucking blah.
That's enough, no more of this silliness. I just don't care enough about any of these silly little places to keep bothering with them. No more facebook crap (void I'm sick of that place), no more twattish myspace shit, no more LJ, no more flickr, no more Gothador Forum, none of this shit. It's so fucking pointless and a huge waste of time I could better spend reading things I'm interested in. None of these holes on the web are worth that much time.
Besides, I have my own site (elskan.com) that I neglect to mess with these stupid things, and it's sorely lacking in certain code/entry updates. So, from here on out, I'm going to make a better effort to nurture my own site and leave these idiotic distractions to themselves. No "current status" or "mood" shite (unless I feel like mentioning it in an update), no more stupid little applications trying to take over my user experience, just a page with words and a couple images, the end.
No matter what the Uberites out there try to tell you, no matter how many flashy glam pages get made with Muckrotardia Dreamwaster, the internet is still a text-based medium and its greatest resources are mostly textual content. So I'd rather do that in my own way, on my own terms and with my own site. I'll still use Gmail and therefor still be autologged to Gtalk, but that's because it's mostly useful and doesn't demand constant upkeep or attention.
So, that being the case, let's make this clear:
