This is by far my favorite chapter in this series. And by far I mean like, lightyears. I love this whole series but this chapter was straight up perfect. (and not just because you snuck my ficcy friday prompt in--which, was awesome. thank you!!) I love that Annie and Jeff finally TALK in this chapter. Really talk. Jeff's reveal about high school was so endearing. I love his terrified realization that Annie can get anything out of him without even forcing it. And that he realizes she's the one he wants to tell this stuff to. The kiss was amazing and epic, the thunderstorm so visual and really added to the drama of their conversation. Annie's speech about the good ones loving him no matter what he looked like or was interested in. And Jeff's whole conversation with Troy was made of win. Troy not caring about the age difference like it wasn't even an issue. And the reveal that it was Britta's cell. But my absolute favorite part is the conversation they have while in the vineyard. It just... guh! Makes me want to jump around in giddy school girl fashion because it's so them and they are finally being them with each other and it makes me so happy!! Even Annie turning around and walking backwards while talking to him. It's just so her! Just--loveliness. OK I'm done now. Emotional rant now over. Seriously though, you can never leave this fandom because I don't know what I'd do without these amazing fics!!!

I thought you might kind of like this chapter. The idea of them walking through a vineyard in the rain was too visually awesome to not use, so when you requested it, I got very excited! You can feel free to girly-rant all over this fic as many times as you want. I'm so happy you liked this so much. I was worried I was trying to do too much in this chapter, with the Jeff/Troy conversation coming after the stuff with Annie, but I guess it worked okay.
