I hope you had a merry one, BTW. Sorry I didn’t even get around to sending e-cards this year…Christmas was characteristically hectic and stressful and I was considerably less adept at handling it than usual, so I kind of withdrew into my shell again for a while there.
But, well, better late than never, and on that principle I’d like to thank the following people who sent me cards/gifts/etc.: xiejialin, ami_the_cat, eustacia_vye28, senashenta, misskalloway, shaded_mazoku, lipstickcat, ssfseiyakou and moradoshinigami, uninformed and sarajayechan…did I miss anyone? If I did, I’m sorry. ^^; Anyway, thanks, you guys. ;P You’re wonderful.

Well, maybe not. Actually, after redoing my program planning guide, I realized that I actually finish my degree this semester, except for the fact that I still need to do an independent study and my thesis. Yay me. Let’s pray that I can find someone to supervise my thesis, or I’m screwed.

Anime I’ve watched since last posting:
Trinity Blood - Liked it, grew to love it when I started reading up on the original novels and so on. However, it’s just my luck that I should fall in love with a story that will never really be finished due to author death, when WIPs drive me crazy…;_; I have questions coming out my ass with regard to this story…I have a feeling I may have to join the TB forum for a good place to ask them, and I hate forums. -_-
Yami to Boushi to Hon no Tabibito - Okay, whoever thought I would like this is out of their mind. -_-''' I’m an easily squicked person, remember!? I was enjoying it well enough for the first eleven episodes, but by the time it got down to those last two…*shudders* That squicked me so badly I feel nauseous just thinking about it. Those of you who assured me it wasn’t incest, thanks for nothing. -_-'''
Naruto - Episodes 1-47 so far (I’m going through them at quite a clip at the moment). Loving it so far. Seriously wondering why the heck the Sand siblings are so popular, though. ;P I can only assume I might come to understand later. When I say might, though, I mean MIGHT. Gaara and Kankurou have already made sufficiently negative impressions on me it’ll take some major changes for me to come to like them, methinks. ^^;;; We’ll see…
This month’s ‘download allotment’ (I have to keep track of what I download, due to being on shaw’s watchlist…^^;;;) is going towards One Piece, so I’m hoping to catch up on that fairly soon too. ^_^
I started to watch Excel Saga, as promised after the results of the last poll, only to discover that the copies I had were corrupt. -_- So, I had to get it over again. I’ll start again now. ^^;;;
I’ve also been gaming, for the first time in quite a while. Again, as per the last poll, I’ve been playing Xenogears. I think I’m quite far…I’ve just destroyed the Gates and I’m about to storm Solaris. Playing it has reminded me just how much I love gaming…I really need to allow myself more time for it. ;P
So, with this renewed gamer-passion in mind, along with something shiva_chan recently said that had my mind on these particular games, I chose to use a portion of my Ralph bucks (non-Alberta residents, feel free to ask for clarification ;P) on the Suikoden games. I bought them as a lot, games I-IV. I’m very excited about it, but of course, this means that I now will have two copies of IV, because I had already bought it from Britt. *LOL* Anyone want to buy a slightly-used copy of Suikoden IV? ^^;;; (Actually, I have a few things lying around that I want to gather up and try to sell off…might make a post about that in the near future.)
BTW, shiva_chan, once it gets here I’d be happy to let you borrow my copy of Suikoden II. ;P I recall you saying that was the one you didn’t have yet…
Now, about writing. I’ve been doing bits and pieces, on and off. My inspiration is unreasonably random, and I’ve noticed that it tends to follow the cycle of my depression ups and downs. Argh. ^^; One more reason to try to get my act together, obviously, as I seriously want to get moving on my fics.
Anyway, might post some stuff soon…again, it’s on the laptop. ^^;;; *LOL*
Speaking of posting stuff, as I’ve recently been organizing things on my computer and burning stuff to DVD, I’ve finally started to realize the scope of my ‘collection’, so to speak (music, manga, anime, other such goodies). I’m thinking it’s probably about time I started sharing bits and pieces of it, particularly the stuff that’s harder to find. I assume there would be some interest in me uploading some stuff…do I assume correctly? ;P
And honestly, that’s about it…as usual, nothing particularly exciting happens in my life. ^_~
BTW, about this icon…first person to get the joke without me having to explain it gets a cookie. ;P If you get it without googling it, I’ll make it a chocolate cookie. *LOL* *loves OLD jokes*
I feel like I’ve forgotten something…trouble is, I’ve forgotten what I’ve forgotten…:/ Oh well, I’ll post again if it comes to me. ;P
ETA: Oh yeah, remembered what I forgot to say...;P I'm still catching up on the ol' f-list. I've been going through them alphabetically, backwards. I think I'm in the D's...anyway, I'll get there eventually. Of course now I have to catch up on the people at the end of the alphabet again since it's been so long since I 'caught up' on those...ahhhhhh. *LOL*
