Oh, goodness! First of all, I have to say I love your writing. I can truly feel the characters emotions.

Secondly, I have so many thoughts after reading this. Why is Guinevere leaving? What does she need to do? What is Arthur going to think? Is he going to blame himself for letting her go without him?

Thirdly, LOVED Arthur being there to comfort Gwen and the acknowledgment and discussion of the fact that he basically dumped her for a few hours. Regardless of the fact that he apologized and regretted his decision, we know that couldn't have just been erased from Gwen's mind. I like how you've written her inner turmoil - how she is torn between her love for Arthur and staying by his side, but also needing to prove to herself that she can be queen.

I loved this whole exchange and just the silent comfort and support Arthur offered her:

A solid wall of protection came against her back, strongly pulling her away.

“No, I have to help-

She insisted.

But Arthur shook his head, holding her so firmly she could not get away, his arms wrapping around the front bodice of her dress from behind, hands clasping at her heart, as her dark curls rubbed against his cheek’s skin. “Not now. They have it. Let them do the work. Stay with me. It’s okay. Just breathe Guinevere.”

I look forward to reading the next chapter of this!!! :)

I have to say I'm tickled pink that people are wondering what's going to happen next. That means it's not as obvious to you as it is to me after editing this thing over and over, lol.

I actually took more issue with this break-up than the banishment one, because when he banished her I just felt like every party was wronged. With this, I felt he made a huge mistake in listening to his uncle and I'm all for her forgiving him. That's her giving personality. But I wouldn't have minded a less easy road back to each other, a little bit of tension that could have slowly alleviated. So that's partly where this whole story came to play.

I wrote that exchange and liked it, thought it was okay, but hoped others would like it too.

Thanks for all your detailed comments. They're so lovely to read and appreciated!!!!!

Yes girl yes! These are my thoughts and feelings on the matter exactly and I love me some Gwen outside of Camelot. While I can guess on where Gwen is off to I seriously can't imagine where she is or what she is planning to do.

I know. I agreed so much when you posted about it. The banishment just made me sad for everyone, but Morgana. The break-up made me kind of angry with Arthur and then wondering a little bit about how Gwen took his apology so quickly. Some conversation would have been good, but oh well. The way it ended was nice too for the show. I get to explore the other side in fic. :)

Ya know as much as I didn't like Gwen being so easy I kinda saw it as her youth, inexperience and insecurity prompting her to act against her own best interest or instincts in that area. In my mind she was so relieved that they were back on again that she just ignored any misgivings that she had.

Later though after they are married and more secure she sometimes snaps at him when he is mean to or inconsiderate of a servant. Its not enough to cause any real damage to their marriage, but Arthur learns to be nice to all the servants when she is around and she lets it go after a while. Or eventually they hash out it or yell it out and have hot passionate make-up sex after. That's my take on it.
