Reade W. Dornan hurts my soul.
The other day in class, she decided, on a whim, that the final was optional if you met certain conditions. I met all conditions except one--I had missed one assignment.
She drops our lowest journal. Knowing this, I chose not to do one. It was a busy week, I had not finished the book, and I figured I would use my freebie. If I had known this would make it necessary to take the exam, I would have turned in a half-assed journal that would have been dropped anyhow, and walked away a happy man.
To make matters worse, I am .3% above the lower limit for a 4.0. If I didn't have to take away this exam, I would finally get a 4 in one of Reade's classes. This is my third one. In each, I have worked my ass off and done the maximum extra credit for a 3.5. Painful. Now, if my grade drops more than .3%, I get another 3.5. She's setting me up for failure.
