yeah, i know. i tried. i kept it up pretty well though. considering my usual habits.
monday- watched pre-inauguration stuff. then went to a NAFCON-sponsored townhall meeting talking the different issues the filipino community faces, mostly focused on immigration. afterwards, went with kristen to watch notorious. it was alright. uneven acting. people who didn't look like the characters they were playing. but i did tear up a bit towards the end.
tuesday- wanted to wake up for the inauguration, set my alarm and everything. but i must admit. i slept right through it. woke up in time for the parade. spent the first day of the obama presidency hanging out on haight street. usual spots. found some good stuff on sale at amoeba. ate at askew grill. expensive ass lunch/ dinner. took the scenic route (geary to ocean beach) back home. hung out with jinell, watched the 50 inaugural balls obama went to. watched him and the mrs. dance the same dance 50 times.
wednesday- immigration rally at city hall. kinda felt good to get back into the political work again. drove folks home. warriors-OKC game. awww bad ending. the end.
i went through all this emotion crap in my head earlier. but now that i feel better, i don't feel like sharing, haha. maybe next time. i just need to appreciate the things i have and spend less time thinking of the things i don't. i'm tired, so i'mma go to sleep. but before i go, in honor of the bush presidency. piece.
