I am so sick and tired of people talking shit about true war films and the American purpose for war. I posted a little something that will never get through to their thick skulls but made me feel a hell of alot better taking up for.....
I find this whole statement you made kind of ironic........It is true that Black Hawk Down is based on a story from the American military, but 95% of the people involved on this were EUROPEAN. Helmed by the best British Director in the world, followed by 2 more british leads, One Scot, 2 Aussies and lord knows how many smaller roles. They all had the accents down so unless you are aware of the actors than you may think they are from America. Besides that is hardly the point.
Anyone who can make a statement about a film and a real event such as this one , Would EVER revolve around a cause for OIL or any other industrial product, well, than you have never in your life understood what it is to be a compassionate human being. Do you honestly think that a President or any government leader would send so many of his soldiers into battle, to get butchered and killed for something as lifeless as OIL???????? I have a better question.......Do you honestly think that Fathers would agree to take part in such a dishonorable cause , and risk leaving their young children Fatherless in order to save face on resource value??????? I sincerely don't know where you people are coming from when you truthfully think you know what lies in the hearts and souls of all the men who risk their lives for a country or to save another
