A budding question nipped?

It's one of those things my possibly somewhat obsessive compulsive mind has been chewing on for a little while now. That Holiday time of year, which includes 2 birthdays and Christmas in the space of three weeks is coming nigh. I'm still not decided what I want to do - be it plan something out of the home or in. But the main question I've been masticating is whether or not to invite his preschool buddies or make this (at least on his end) maybe the last "family and friends" birthday. He came running to meet me yesterday when I came in to pick them up, proudly bearing an invitation to a birthday party. He was quite excited about it, so I sent the listed email address a reply last night saying to expect Ryan & Family, if the & Family part wasn't a problem. It's Chuck E Cheese. I have expectations that the children will be provided with pizza and baked sugar and anyone else who accompanies them will be fending for themselves. Which is fine - he had fun last time we went there, even if I was a little terrified.

Bathtime #2 with the new showerhead went well. We'll still be moving it elsewhere eventually, but it serves in the meantime. Rachel was not either understanding or not complying with "Look up at the ceiling" so she eventually just got it turned on on top of her head and the water went where it wanted. She fussed for a minute, and then it was done. Ryan loved it. When I turned the soft streams back on Rachel...but her arms/back/sides...not her face, she started giggling her head off. I think her opinion of the device improved a bit, but probably only till next time we rinse the hair and and she fails to "Look up!"

So...small gift suggestions for a turning 4 girl? :-)
