weekly bandom no.17

Jun 16, 2008 20:22

A little late, but that's par for the course these days. (Honestly, I might as well say it's a Monday thing and then if I post on the weekend, it's early!)

Anyway, no fic recs this week. But in case you weren't aware, there are many new, long, stories over at bandombigbang, and I've heard that they're fantastic (the two I've read so far certainly were). So go check that out.

This is a very Cab-heavy week, especially in the image section. And fyi, the image section is large this week (100+).

It's quite possible there won't be another Weekly Bandom until July, because this weekend I'm going to Warped, and then I leave for a week at the beach, where I will have little to no internet. (But I will have a lot of saved BigBangs to read, hooray!)

Cash + This Providence.

I realized I never actually posted these Marshall photos, and that just won't do.

And instead of posting tons of Mike Carden pictures that many people have probably seen, here is an awesome Carden pimp-post.

New FOBR journal.

Patrick updated his blog.

Pete updated his site, which now is at ahomeboyslife.com (I'm unsure what to call it now, because the banner still says meelikey).

Watch a video entirely of Spencer drumming here! (And mourn that no matter how much he embellishes the drumming from Pretty. Odd., the parts just aren't as awesome as the ones on Fever.) Downloadable versions here.

Ryan's Ultimate Guitar interview.

Video of Panic at Abbey Road.

A video of The Weight, included here because of Spencer, hot damn.

Panic and Snoop Dogg performed Gin & Juice on Pete's new show, F'N MTV.

Video of Panic and Phantom Planet. To quote the video summary: Panic At The Disco and Phantom Planet ride golf carts, play hacky sack and enjoy Alex's version of 'Leave Yourself For Somebody Else' on mandolin.

Interview with Singer. A highlight:
Q: If you could have anything on your tour rider, what would it be?
A: A kitten. Every show, I would want a kitten that I could play with and hold and mess with before and after the show, just like a little friend for the night. I would give it back so it could go to a nice home.

Something I'd never seen: Ian playing guitar for a talent show in 2004.

Post-TRL video, wherein there's lots of FBR people, and Cash has fun with camera angles.

The Cab playing "Take My Hand" at their graduation party a while ago. There are sooo many things to exclaim over in this. Like Johnson popping up towards the end, the way Cash dances and plays piano, and the looks Cash and Marshall share. A++++

There are many videos of The Cab singing "Take Me Out To The Ballgame", here is one of my favorites. (Mainly for Marshall's antics.)

I have no idea what the story behind this is, but here is a video of Ian singing Tenacious D's "Tribute".

Cash visited This Providence in studio.

Are The Cab attempting a Panic-esque viral campaign?

Bamboozle Left interview with Mikey.

Trailer for the Black Parade DVD.

For those who weren't aware, Gabe is a Jew. I definitely learned new things about Gabe.
