Hail. We just had chunks of hail coming down. That's a first for July.
You can really hear it on the roof in a one story house. Can't hear much else though :D :D

We had our freak October snowstorm on Saturday--it started snowing around noon, by 2:30 our electricity was out. We were just hitting peak foliage season so the trees were still in full leaf and the snow was coming down in bucketloads, wet and heavy.
