Conferences ... yay

Note to self, when I get back from this weekend's conference, look at last weekend's conference materials and plan to implement some of the good ideas I can still recall from it.

Ahh conferences ... so much fun ... and then you get home and crash. I was at the regional housing officers conference from Sunday til Tuesday night and it was pretty good, some good info, a lot of stuff I knew but just wanted to have reinforced, but a lot of new ideas as well. Basically the conference was for Residence Directors from the region to get together and share ideas. This weekend is GLACURH ... or the Great Lakes Association of College and University Residence Halls. If you are from AZ and know res life then you might recognize the name as a variation of IACURH. Same thing, but for a different part of the world. One with no mountains and large lakes.

It's raining, which I don't mind, but everyone else gets moody in rain, and that sucks. I have half a mind to go dance in it ... and I just might in a little while.

Life is ... good. I need to get away for a bit, but I can hold out these last 37 days. 37 days before I go home. I nede to book the flight so that I am that one step closer to going home. Home ... happy times.

I have been thinking about Peggy a lot lately ... but really haven't come to a whole lot of conclusions as to why or what she might be trying to tell me if there is something. Maybe it's just the time of year. As one of her partners in rhyme said, it could be due to the time of year. Southern Crusades was in November ... it rained there too.

I need to find my motivation ... I need a lifestyle adjustment. Habits take about 21 days to form. I need to form lots. Eating healthier, work out, not waste time, and so on. I think if I do these things, I will likely feel much better and more motivated.

I finally found a good intramural team :) Our volleyball team is 5-0 with two games to go next week and then the tournament. One game next week should be a cinch (in theory) and the other I konw nothing about.

It's 6pm here ... I feel like taking a nap. But I have homework that I should finish before I leave. It's not due until midnight monday, but I have actually been ahead of schedule in the last two assignments, and I'd like to stay that way.

Don't it always seem to go that you don't know what you got til it's gone?
