Zahnnie came over on Saturday after we got Caryatid moved into her new apartment. She wanted to snuggle Zelda. Unfortunately, Zelda had vomited up a peach pit (wtf? We haven't even had peaches in forever) and rolled around in it that morning. So Zelda smelled like puke. It was awful. We were trying to cuddle her and hold our noses at the same time. This did not work, so we gave the dog a bath.
Zelda does not like baths, though once doused with water she looks much more like a greyhound than a samoyed, which is hilarious. We made use of the new hand-held shower head and she did not shiver as much this time as last. It still took us nearly an hour to dry her, even with three people (one for the hair dryer, one for the comb, and one to keep the dog still). It was a hilarious adventure, and afterwards she smelled like baby powder (scented puppy shampoo). Except for her mouth, which still smelled quite a bit like puke. It's better now, thankfully.
Sadly, the sphere (our large, old foof chair) still smells. It's some combination of every nasty scent that's been near it in the last three months. Mostly the dog's fault, I think, though the cat probably helped. We have a couch on order, but it won't be here until the end of August at the earliest, so we have no comfy place to sit while watching TV. And it's an old foof chair so it has no liner. The foam inside is shot and it's just generally sad. I'm going to try to Febreeze it but I don't know if that'll help at all.
