Exactly what one should do on a beautiful holiday Monday afternoon is rent The Notebook and then curl up on the couch and cry like a little girl. I was sobbing there at the end. Sobbing.

My love for Rachel McAdams grows and grows. And, thanks to google, I know now there is a Rachel McAdams/Ryan Gosling fanlisting. Ah, internet. You hide some weird shit.

Also saw X-Men 3 this weekend, and poor James Marsden. Always the second fiddle. (That's not a spoiler, unless you haven't seen the first two.) Anyways,

I was underwhelmed. I never really bought the whole 'Logan's deeply in love with Jean and would do anything for her!' storyline from the first two, so unsurprisingly most of this fell flat. Also. They killed Scott and the Professor. And made Rogue leave halfway through. There go all the characters I really liked. Harumph.

On the bright side, Kitty Pride was cool, and the actress is from my home town, so yay. Shawn Ashmore was adorable and confused and in real life he's 26. Wow.

I also caught The Fifth Element on cable this weekend. Huh. I enjoyed it, but I think I had it mixed up with Twelve Monkeys in my head. The aliens were, well, that first set couldn't really walk, so poorly designed is an understatement, I suppose. I couldn't really take the guys with the floppy ears seriously. In more disturbing news, I actually found Bruce Willis to be kinda hot. Weird.
