When I feed Alice, she wants to grab the spoon. It's not because she wants to feed herself; it's because she wants the spoon as a toy. If I let her grab it, feeding stops and a large mess happens as she waves it around. It's also very difficult to get it away from her, and she yells when I do. But if I avoid her grab, she yells about that. Today she was also blowing raspberries with food in her mouth.
Any of you fellow parent types have any input on this problem, or am I just going to have to be patient until she figures out that her spoons are for eating with?
