*BRAIN EXPLODES*
I know I JUST posted. IGNORE ME IF YOU MUST. But but but omigod. MY BRAIN JUST EXPLODED ALL OVER THE PLACE. My new flail requires and merits a post of its own, because OMIGOD OMIGOD. I HAD NO IDEA - NO IDEA - THAT EMIL SANG ONE OF MY FAVOURITE CHINESE SONGS EVER LIVE. I'm not even sure how I found out, I was just clicking through... I don't know, something or other, before bed, and then I saw someone mention that he had sung Sandy Lam's 至少還有你 (At Least There's Still You) and I WANTED TO SCREAM. AND THEN I FOUND THE VIDEO, ON SOME RANDOM SITE, AND AKDLHSDLFHSLDFLSDHFLSFSDA. OMIGOD MY BRAIN. MY BRAIN EXPLODED FROM THE FUCKING. AMAZING. THAT IS EMIL SINGING THIS SONG. I CANNOT DEAL WITH THIS MUCH AWESOME.
In fact, I COULDN'T deal. Like, I squealed about ten times to myself while the video was loading, and then I stopped being able to breathe once it loaded and I had stopped coughing but I started again and I coughed throughout my first listen and and... *weeps*
Honestly this is one of the most beautiful songs EVER, and it was a massive massive smash hit for Sandy back in 1999. It's a CLASSIC, is what it is. I loved it - and love singing it in karaoke - and played it on a loop for weeks and weeks, just as... well, most of Chinese-speaking Asia did at the time. It was THAT huge. And now. AND NOW. I HAVE EMIL SINGING THIS SONG. MY LIFE IS ALL. KINDS. OF. COMPLETE. You think I exaggerate. I PROBABLY DO. But omigod. OMIGOD.
