DORKAGE: HOUSE 5X07 THE ITCH

Nov 14, 2008 02:13

OMIGOD. I'M SUPPOSED TO SLEEP BECAUSE I'M NARCOLEPTIC. AND I STILL KEEP FALLING ASLEEP AT WORK. BUT WHATEVER. OMIGOD. THE ITCH, GUYS. WTF WAS THAT AWESOME. I DIDN'T THINK IT COULD BEAT JOY, BUT GUESS WHAT. I FREAKIN' LOVED IT. ASLDJALFALHLHLGHLDDASDASDA.

- OMIGOD GUYS. SERIOUSLY, WTF WAS THAT AWESOME. I DON'T THINK I CAN HANDLE IT. BECAUSE YOU KNOW WHAT?!

ILU, WILSON!!!!!!!!!!! WHO'S WITH ME!?!!?!?

ETA: AHAHAHA, SAME TEXT, DIFFERENT BASE. APPROPRIATE, Y/Y?

- IN FACT, I LOVED IT SO MUCH I KNEW I WANTED TO QUOTE EVERYTHING AND PICSPAM THE FUCK OUT OF IT. AND WORRIED THAT IT MIGHT BE TOO EXCESSIVE FOR MY LJ. AHAHAHA WHATEVER, AS I TOTES JUST WENT AHEAD AND DUMPED ALL OF THAT AWESOME IN MY_VICODIN INSTEAD - GO HERE FOR TEH PRETTY, PLZ. OH GOD. CAPPING AND TRANSCRIBING THIS EPISODE WAS THE MOST AWESOME THING EVER. (jukebox_grad, I thought I'd surprise you by going ahead with the guide. God knows when I'll EVER have time for the pic-spam - we had basically eleven H/C scenes in this episode, ARGH - but I couldn't resist. I hope you don't mind!!)

- Now don't get me wrong, I loved Joy. I LOVED the kiss, even though I felt the build-up was a bit rushed. But the kiss was awesome. The episode, not so much. I wasn't sure how they would be able to follow this up, but AIEEEEEEEEEEEE. I MEAN, AIEEEEEEEEEEEEEE. This was just... INCREDIBLE. I LOVE what a huge role Wilson had in the whole affair, as he kept going to both House and Cuddy and trying to get them to admit that they were interested in each other, that there was something MORE there, that that that. ARGH. I mean, ARGH. It's so HARD to be articulate right now. Wilson ships House/Cuddy! *weeps from the awesome*

- I LOVE how evasive House and Cuddy both were. House's reaction was textbook House - from his refusal to even LOOK at her when she insists on talking to him, to his intention to ignore her for the rest of his life (HEE), right down to his imaginary bug thing. (Shades of Sports Night and Casey's little bug fixation, y/y?!) AHAHAHA, WHO ELSE EVOKES A JESUS REFERENCE WITH THE STIGMATA BUT HOUSE. ILHIM. I love how he just point-blank told everyone that he had "hit that" last night and NO ONE BELIEVED HIM BUT WILSON. LMAO.

- Also, WILSON. Even with all the preceding capslock, I don't think I've flailed enough, because I LOVED him in this episode. It was incredible how freakin' WELL he knows House, and how he understands House's worries about getting together with Cuddy (spot-on diagnosis: "No, you’re not afraid of authority. You’re afraid she actually is right for you. You’re afraid to take a chance because it’s too big a chance. If it doesn’t work with her, then maybe there’s no one out there.")... and Cuddy's own concerns about House. OMIGOD. OT3 FTW. WILSON, WHY ARE YOU SO ADORABLE AND AMAZING.

- I can't resist quoting. I can't.

Cuddy: You know exactly how it would go. It would start off exciting and we’d get caught up in the novelty and the hostility and the forbiddenness and then we’d realise that the flirty hostility is just hostility and his inability to open up is no longer exciting, it’s just frustrating and then... and then it’s the inevitable blow-up and the recriminations and we don’t talk for two months.
Wilson: Yeah. Well, it certainly proves that you’ve never thought about House that way.

- HAI CUDDY, YOU TOTES FAIL BIG TIME. YOU HIDE YOUR LACK OF INTEREST SO WELL, LOL.

- And I kind of LOVE it that my favourite scene of this episode is actually the Cuddy/WILSON scene when he tries to put the moves on her. CAN WE SAY FUCKING ADORABLE. (I need to stop using that word, but aieee! They're so cute!) I love how Lisa played this - as if she wasn't quite sure what was up with Wilson, right until you realise she has TOTES SEEN THROUGH HIS CLEVER RUSE. CUDDY, YOU'RE SO SMART. AND SO AWESOME. My favourite favourite FAVOURITE part, my god, was when he realises he's failed to trick her, but she's just... grateful to him for caring. I literally SQUEED at this moment, I mean it. LOUD SQUEEING ENSUED AT THIS POINT:

*weeps* SO. SWEET.

- WILSON IS SO CUDDY'S BIG BROTHER. (except I'm pretty sure he's younger than her, in canon?) Look at how much love and tenderness there is in this moment:

Plus, Lisa is SOOOOOOOOOOOOO BEAUTIFUL IN THIS SHOT.

- HOUSE IS TOTES INTERESTED IN CUDDY, ZOMG. WAY TO MAKE IT OBVIOUS, TPTB. THANK YOU FOR THAT. EEEEEEEEEEEEEEK. I'm addicted to the song that played over the end - hi, sledgehammer, I love that the song is called I'm In Love With A Girl (download!), mwahahahaha - and how House is, finally, the biggest coward of all. Boo, House. BOO. You know yourself so well. You diagnosed the crap out of yourself in front of PTSD Guy. And yet you balked. D:

- Okay, SOME SERIOUS THOUGHTS NOW. I am capable of having them, I swear.

- Way to make me hate Cameron again, House writers. I mean, I can always appreciate her GOOD INTENTIONS, but I did not appreciate her usual 'must fix broken people' attempts to let PTSD Guy (clearly I was too busy flailing to catch his name) know when they were trying to save his life. That blood-spurting struggle in the OR was hilarious in a totally icky way. I think I really REALLY don't like it when Cameron plays doctor... when it involves trying to prove SOMETHING to House. As an ER doctor, without the need to push diagnoses and having to handle cases without a moral dimension, I found her tolerable - and if I recall correctly, I actually rather liked her at one point. (I think it involved her husband and was earlier in the season?)

- Still, the Chase/Cameron stuff was kind of adorable (there's that word again!). Mostly because I apparently still have a massive crush on Jesse Spencer out of all proportion to his actual screen-time. When he grabbed Cameron's hand and told her he couldn't chase her forever... *weeps* And then when she told him she'd cleared out a (big!) drawer for him? The huge grin on his face, OMG. So. CUTE. *cries*

- Speaking of hot, Hugh Laurie was inordinately sexy in this episode, Y/Y?!

- Oh wait, sorry, serious thoughts. Yay PTSD Guy! I loved how the roses - so gorgeously lit in such a surreal way in the opening sequence - held the clue to his dilemma... and in a way, to House's as well.

- Awww yay, Taub ♥ Mrs Taub. I like Taub. Although this season, I'm still grooving on 13 and Kutner (Skutner? :D) more.

- Erm. I don't think I HAVE a lot of rational, serious thoughts anymore. I'm kind of flailed out. I kind of like just staring at the caps over at my_vicodin and listening to I'm In Love With A Girl over and over and over again. I'm such a DORK, ZOMG. Guess what I'll be doing at work all day tomorrow later?!

Oh, show. I love you long time.
