1. WOW. I have basically... just sat here and inhaled a TON of Hershey's chocolate kisses. So not good for me. *weeps* I found a bag of the dark chocolate ones that I brought back from New York in June but never got around to, you know, giving to other people. So I guess I'm gonna be eating them

2. That always happens with the not being tired thing - I'm exhausted at school/work all day, and then when I get home and could sleep, I'm bouncing off the walls. Highly inconvenient.
5. READ. Read the rest of the Wicked books, or the Libba Bray trilogy, or whatever! Books > magazines.
6. I mean, why NOT get the prettier cover if the book is the same and there's not a huge price difference? I'll only buy the original-style Maguire books even though the new mass market ones are cheaper, because wow are they butt-ugly. Also, I have an objection to the musical logo being on the cover of the book. NOT THE SAME. Oh, the OTHER thing that makes me not want to buy a book is if it's got those annoying-ass uneven page edges. Like it's supposed to look old or something - just MAKE THE PAGES TURNABLE, dammit.
8. It's becoming Christmasy here too - I've seen work crews putting lights on trees all over town and the skating rinks are open. I can't bring myself to listen to Christmas music yet, though - even though I have Cheno's CD AND the new Carols for a Cure waiting for me! Boo.

2. See, that's what is happening to me right now. I KNOW I am physically tired out - hai, I spent most of the work day struggling to stay awake (and failing). Now that I'm home, I KNOW I'm still tired but am wide awake because I'm online. WTF, body.
5. Oh, rest of Wicked books is an idea! I'm done with the Libba Bray trilogy. But I'll have to go buy those. MUST TRY AND MAKE A DENT IN MY HUGE LIBRARY OF UNREAD BOOKS FIRST. I cannot lie that I am super excited for my Melbourne trip because it means time to READ, my god.
6. I KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN ABOUT THE UNEVENLY CUT EDGES. I've reconciled myself to them since so many books have that these days, and I kind of like it now. But I remember when it first started happening, I was, like, IS MY BOOK DEFECTIVE? WHY ARE THE EDGES ALL FAILY? And then I realised it was intentional. *weeps* It's the same way I never buy the movie-cover version of a book unless I am a huge dork of said MOVIE rather than book. (The sole exception was The Hours, which I read before I watched, but honestly Meryl Streep, Nicole Kidman and Julianne Moore were on that cover, so I think I can be excused for dorkiness on that count.)
8. I want to come spend Christmas in NYC. I am SO distracted and non-functional at work these days I might as well not be there anyway. *cries*
