3. #5 is an EPIC moment. Oh god, please YES to be trekking down to DC to watch it. THIS IS OUR PLAN. GO WITH US IN JANUARY?! Let's make a big trip out of it, because OMG, West Side Story will be in previews there at the SAME TIME! :D I really want Alice's bubble-letter signature too (priceless, I love that she's a dork). How many times did you see N2N again?

4. She seems ah-mazing live. Actually, she IS amazing live. She makes her very poppy songs from I Stand something else entirely when she sings them live. She'll be in California... like, the week of Evita. More fail?!

6. Who was Felicia Day on Buffy again? BAD BUFFY FAN I AM. I must admit I didn't love LOVE CRAZY-ADORE the entire blog the way I did Once More With Feeling - there were moments of brilliance, and NPH and Nathan were fantastic. But the story itself kind of fell (far) short of perfect. I realise with my flail in my entry that I didn't make that clear. ;) Much love for NPH & Nathan, less enamoured of overall 'movie', though I applaud its execution and central concept.

2. Oh man, picspams. Those take so much EFFORT. I don't know how you do it! And I compromised by cleaning the bathroom, doing laundry, AND posting a meme, hah. (Also doing the creepiest thing EVER and stagedooring Rent when I didn't even go today - but I still had my playbill from yesterday! Er. I think I need a life.)

3. I would like to go with you guys in January! We'll have to see when you end up going, because I will be in school and all that. Plus end of Jan will be CRAZY in DC, what with the presidential inauguration, so getting the timing right could be difficult. I managed to see N2N three times without ever stagedooring - FAIL. :-(

4. Idina will apparently be in SF six days before I get there, and LA nine days before I get there. SIGH, timing of FAIL.

6. Felicia Day was one of the potentials in season 7! Pretty sure her name was Vi. She had much shorter hair and wore a hat a lot. And I'll agree with your assessment of the blog - yay NPH & NF, meh storyline. Once More With Feeling was WAY better.

2. It's because I have no life that I can do these pic-spams. This is a TRUE FACT. I'm kind of proud of you that you did all the errand-y type things. WELL DONE. Oooh, you stagedoored! It's OKAY. I stagedoored Wicked when I didn't see the show! And creepily took photos of the cast. DUDE. Did you get Eden to sign your playbill? Did you say hi?!? :D

3. You're right about January being insanity, but it really DOES work out that N2N and West Side Story will be on at pretty much the same time. Which makes a side-trip to DC a lot more worth it, you know? Then back to NYC for more shows. AWWW NO. If you'd stagedoored N2N any one of those three times, you might have had one of Alice's bubble-letter signatures. It's SO CUTE. She sounds like such a fun person at SD too, seriously.

4. Ha ha, that's kind of what I thought - I know because a friend of mine is watching Evita (FOUR TIMES) and Idina in the same week. JEALOUS MUCH.

6. Ah okay, not one of the big-time lead potentials? It would've been awful if I hadn't known her, though my attention to Buffy did kind of drift towards the end of Season 7. Once More With Feeling is epic in a way that very very few other things can be. I have been obsessed with the soundtrack for the longest time and can *ahem* sing SO much of it it's embarrassing...

2. I still haven't done the dishes or vacuumed, so it really was a compromise between cleaning and flailing! The worst part about the creepy stagedooring - I didn't even manage to talk to any of them! The vast majority of the cast made a BEELINE through the crowd and into the bar next door (lol) and the only ones who got caught were Eden, Merle, and what's-his-face who plays Angel. I got Eden's signature on Tuesday, so I figured I'd leave her alone, but I kind of wanted to talk to Merle (to tell her she was awesome and it's too bad she's leaving so soon) and Angel-actor (who WENT TO MY COLLEGE, wtf). They were pretty mobbed by teenage girls, though, and by the time they escaped, I felt bad stopping them. A friend of mine coined a perfect new term for me in this situation: stagedoormat. FAIL.

3. I'm sure Alice is awesome at stagedoor. She seems like someone who would be! Must find out for sure in January.

4. Man. That's a hell of a lot of Evita in one week. I'm not sure I could do that even for Julia.

6. She was kind of big-time? The only ones I really remember are her, Kennedy, Rona, and Amanda - she was in the first batch to show up. I also drifted during season 7 when it was actually on, but I liked it much more when I watched the DVDs. Nothing wrong with obsessing over OMWF! And being able to sing it is awesome. :-D

Therefore FLAIL. *rationalises like the champion flailer she is* I love that they were all headed straight for a bar to get smashed or something, LOL. ♥ Too bad you didn't manage to catch Merle - or did you? It IS too bad she's leaving so soon, because I really did like her a LOT. So impressed with her TMOLM with Caren the night I saw it. (Do you want just that song? And maybe Tango Maureen? I can upload it for you.)

I wonder if they decided that they needed to boost ticket sales SOME MORE and therefore just kicked Merle out in favour of Tracie. That would be sad, though I love Tracie.

LOL STAGEDOORMAT. OMIGOD. ILTHAT. You really DO need to be fiercer at SD, m'dear. Then we'd know what Morgan Weed was doing next! (I should have asked her on your behalf, huh?)

5. Dude, I fail. I only remember Kennedy, and that's because I was crushed by the lack of Willow/Tara and all that new Willow/Kennedy they were trying to shove at us. Season 7 is probably the only season I haven't rewatched. OMWF is my LOVE. ♥ You had me singing Going Through The Motions just now when I went out to get lunch. :P

2. I did the dishes! And it IS too late to vacuum, because loud, so flail! Apparently I become invisible at stagedoor, because I even said "excuse me" a few times to get Merle's attention, but still she did not notice me. *grumbles* I felt bad for the poor Angel guy, who was like dragging the crowd down the block with him, so I didn't bother trying to stop him.

I'd LOVE Tango Maureen, actually. I love the whole Mark/Joanne friendship. I totally believe that Mark, Joanne, and Maureen have a threesome at some point after the actual canon ends - the characters, NOT the actors (clarifying so as not to appear a skeevy RPF person). And then Mark is overwhelmed and can't actually handle Maureen AND Joanne, because he is too cute and geeky.

I hope they didn't just boot Merle to cast Tracie. :-\ I heard Merle talking to some people about her leaving, and she was explaining that "it's a good thing" and so forth, so she doesn't seem upset about it. (EDIT: Merle's blog says she's starting "on another Broadway stage" within the month, so I have a feeling it was at least a mutual decision for her to leave.) Must try not to be a stagedoormat if I see the show when Tracie's in it! I was doing so well with stagedooring Boeing Boeing, but Rent is much scarier for some reason.

3. Oh Alice Ripley. I'd heard about her standard N2N signature but never seen it. Why are there a bunch of extra names on the poster? (And why does Aaron Tveit write like a 10-year-old?)

4. FOUR TIMES. In a WEEK. That is LOTS. I still don't know.

5. You should try season 7 again - I disliked it when it was on, but when I'd gotten some distance from the whole Tara debacle, it was much more palatable.

2. Dude, your inability to get Merle's attention only means you should go back before her run ends. Which is, like, insanely soon, right? I'm glad to hear that she has something else lined up for pretty much right away though. You should go back and ask her what she's doing! :D

Edited to add, wait, is this the blog you found? Because it's from March, just before she went back into Rent as Joanne?! I can't find the other reference, but maybe that's just 'cause I FAIL SO HARD.

2. Merle's last show is Friday. I'll try to go back! And no, the blog I read is here on her myspace. Rereading it, she makes it sound like it was totally her decision to leave.

Hm. Normally I am totally opposed to having photos taken with performers, but I think a photo with both Tracie and Eden might be the exception. Not that I will actually DO it, because hello, stagedoormat, but it's an interesting idea!

Oh right, the Broadway package. Equus. :-\ I told the person that I couldn't guarantee there'd be lots of merchandise and stuff for that, so she changed it to mostly Wicked with whatever Equus crap I can find. Easy (and cheap, because of all the extra Wicked stuff I have lying around!), but boring. I offered the second-highest bidder a package too, but I never heard back. Oh well.

2. She DOES sound a little bit sad though. And it sounds like a TAD of a rushed decision - as in, she intended to close as Joanne and do the movie, but... isn't going to. Awww. At least she has a role lined up already. That's usually tough, so I'm happy for her!

In theory, a photo of you with Tracie and Eden would be AWESOME. Go on. Pretend you're a pathetic tourist like me coming in from out of town and fangirl!! ;)
