1.  It is near the end of another week. Which means, TWO WEEKS UNTIL I LEAVE FOR LONDON. CANNOT. WAIT. ASJDLSJFDLASKLDA.

2. Work has been made of fail, and will be made of fail for the week(s) to come. Emphatically NOT looking forward to it. Sigh.

3. Honestly I have no idea how I'm supposed to be watching all the shows I have to see. But now I MUST ( Read more... )

I'm pretty sure Drowsy is closed in London... not 100% sure but... I think it is....

The JRB concert should be ok, he's got lots of people friendly music. As long as nobody attempts "Dreaming Wide Awake" without being qualified to sing it (I've only heard two people ever land that song) you should be ok. He writes the prettiest music ever, that's for sure.

And not to be a dissenting opinion, but "i love you, you're perfect.." is awful. Don't waste a show spot with it if you can help it.

Yeah, I just checked through shows in London and you're right - think I got thrown by someone asking for an audio of the show. I was, like, WHAAAT. Have to see it if it's in London!

Fingers crossed for JRB then! I really do love his music, though I keep getting back into an L5Y loop, bah. Who were the two people you heard land that song?

No worries, I welcome dissenting opinions. Awful? Will duly take that into consideration. Together with vertical_chaos's emphatic ANTI-recommendation of Young Frankenstein. ;)

I will second the anti-Young Frank. YUCK. Same with Little Mermaid. And I love almost all theater. I even vaguely enjoyed Legally Blonde. But those two were disasters of the first order.

And Lauren Kennedy can nail it and apparently Mara Davi can too. And I've never heard anybody else even try the song, its too hard. If somebody gives it a shot, let me know...haha.

Why are these shows still PLAYING then? I guess they're bankable and people would go for them. *ahem* Says the one going to Little Mermaid. I really want to see In The Heights though. And Gypsy and Sunday are already on the cards, so I'm just filling in the other empty spots now and trying to decide what goes where.

You know what's troubling? The concert tomorrow is CALLED Dreaming Wide Awake. Which surely means someone is going to try to sing it. Erm. Oh dear. I shall tell you how that goes... *scared*

See In the Heights, it's a load of fun and very good.

Little Mermaid is worth it once if you're a Sherie fan (I am and I went for her), though the lack of Sherie in Act II makes that drag a bit.

And oooh. I bet somebody will sing it. NICE.

Would you know if In The Heights will sell out, or if I can probably try for rush or half-price tickets on the day? I've got some days free so can keep trying 'til something works. If not, I'll get tickets NOW. ;)

Yup, watching TLM for Sherie. Pretty much. Although Norm Lewis looks ridiculously ripped as Triton, hmmm.

I WILL BOOT THE THING AND YOU CAN JUDGE THE FAIL FOR YOURSELF. ;)

They might kick the songs butt, you never know!

And In the Heights usually isn't on the half price ticket booth and they don't have rush (they do lotto which is very unpredictable) so if you really want to see it, I'd buy in advance.

And Norm is HOT as Triton. Well, Norm is hot in general.

*crosses fingers*

Okay, thanks for the tip. I'll scrutinise schedule and fit it in somewhere then. I'm excited to see it!

And yeah. Norm. I could just stare at him. Help that he sings like a dream too...
