Unwellness
1. I spent the last two days - including the first day of Chinese New Year - coughing so badly I occasionally thought I might hurt something. I have... my back, which now actually hurts when I cough. Fortunately, I don't cough as much today as I did yesterday (when I discovered that the only times I don't cough is when I'm asleep - thank goodness for that - or when I'm eating). I do pretty much cough the second I wake up though, and then life is just sad again.
2. Spent two hours waiting at the doctor's today, and am now loaded down with four different kinds of medicine as well as a course of antibiotics. Hope this will finally kick that stupid bug in the ass and let me mend properly. Sigh.
3. On the upside, I spent much of those two hours scribbling fic bits to continue a House mini-series I started on waaaay back when I first started writing Housefic i.e., the first parts, which are already written, were written six months ago, before everything else that I've since posted! I hope to finish this baby up soonest.
4. Collected $290 yesterday - not a bad haul for the first day, eh?
5. Waiting for our traditional second-day party to start at my place. Friends and family will be arriving within the hour. I hope to remain unsociable and surgically grafted to my computer.
6. THIS DESERVES CAPSLOCK. OBVIOUSLY EVERYONE HAS ALREADY FLAILED ABOUT THE WRITERS' STRIKE POSSIBLY BEING OVER FOR GOOD. YES PLS. YES YES YES. I WOULD LOVE NEW HOUSE EPISODES BEFORE SUMMER.
