I've already got an icon of the adorablest moment of this latest episode of House, but I'm gonna try and be good and not spoil people RIGHT AWAY. ANYWAYS. It's 2.51am right now and I am STUPID for still being awake, but I'm gonna talk about House and Castle a little bit before going to sleep. HOW COULD I NOT. I'm not live-blogging or anything

HAI OMG I HAVE NO IDEA - NO IDEA - HOW YOU RECAP THREE SHOWS IN A NIGHT. I CAN BARELY HANDLE TWO, AND SOMETIMES CASTLE IS GONNA HAVE TO FALL BY THE WAYSIDE FOR HOUSE. I DON'T BLAME YOU FOR NOT BEING ABLE TO BE COHERENT. I'M AMAZED YOU THINK I AM, BECAUSE HOUSE/CUDDY ARE BASICALLY TURNING ME INTO A PUDDLE OF MUSH THIS SEASON. AND I AM TOTES OKAY WITH THAT.

SOMETIMES I WONDER WHY WE EVEN BOTHER TALKING ABOUT THE REST OF THE EPISODE. OH YEAH, BECAUSE IT'S USUALLY WELL-WRITTEN. WHATEVERRRRRRRR, IT'S ALL ABOUT HOUSE/CUDDY. XD

OBSESSING ABOUT HOUSE AND CUDDY PLAYING VIDEO GAMES IS TOTALLY OKAY BY ME. OMG. I'D NEVER HAVE PEGGED CUDDY AS A VIDEO GAME KIND OF GIRL, BUT THERE'S TOTALLY BACKSTORY THERE THAT IS JUST BEGGING TO BE TURNED INTO A FIC. YOU'RE RIGHT. DLFHFLHSFHLFHALFDASDA SO ADORABLE, Y/Y?!

That's exactly it - not that the relationship's been one-sided up to this point, because House clearly wants Cuddy so deeply, but... the person pushing it forward has been Cuddy. Without everything she did in the pilot, including that whole 'most incredible man' speech, House would never have told her he loved her, and allowed the relationship to go any further. She's been reassuring him ALL ALONG, that she's happy with 'uncommon', that it will work. And here he's the one going - you know what, you're holding back, just as I am. I LOVE IT. He spent the whole pilot - you could just see the wheels in his brain churning away - thinking about how they're doomed. And he's the one here who goes - we're dooming this relationship prematurely if we're both holding back. It's PERFECT.

THERE ARE PEOPLE WHO HAVE PROBLEMS WITH IT!? OMG NAYSAYERS. WHATEVER, LOLOLOL. Okay, to be fair, I think I'm a little biased because I've been wanting them to get together forever. But I actually still think - in as objective a fashion as I can manage - that it's being explored in a delightfully smart, real way. True to the characters and the story and their love for each other. There's no cheap fakeout, no unrealistic happily-ever-after - I HAVE NEVER HAD A SHIP BEEN TREATED THIS WAY ON A SHOW. Well, aside from maybe Chandler/Monica on Friends. I like seeing them explore the relationship, and OMG IMHO THEY'RE DOING IT SO WELL.

I'M GETTING MOAR AND MOAR OBSESSED WITH CASTLE OMG. I was telling a friend of mine - the one who insisted I should start watching in the first place - that this show always felt like disposable entertainment to me. Watch for the lolz, be untroubled by angst, and then move on with life. But this season has been so EPIC, and hitting all the right cylinders, that I basically am getting to a point where I might get PROPERLY obsessed with the show. THIS EPISODE WAS SO DAMN GOOD. SO. FUNNY. And yes, getting better is exactly right!! I totally teared. I'm so wimpy with that. And fully admit it. Ahem.

I need to get back to writing fic, period. I think maybe when the mini-hiatus after next week is upon us and I'm not picspamming like crazy every week... ;)
