Still working on stupid names (I know, I know)...maybe you can help us. It's not that we can't come up with names, it's that none of us can agree. I try a new one out every day or so

I had to look up what a Kliban cat was! lol - still researching that. This is funny:
I had a science teacher in high school named Mr. Carlyle (actually I think he may have spelled it Carlisle?), so that's what the name makes me think of. Mr. Carlisle (?) was definitely unique, but an introvert and a little creepy, so I don't think it would work for Grey Kitty. Maybe if I didn't have that point of reference...I do like the name. How awful for your friend - does she know her cat is gone for good, or is it just missing?
Yeah, I was happy teensy cat found a home...I guess I wasn't the only one who fell in love with her. Just...how could you not? I wish I could have shown her to you in person!
Aw, Mr. Carlisle was probably just anxious and introverted. You said Kitty was INTJ? right? Perfect. Plus, every time I saw Carlyle, I thought 'Kitty Carlisle', and it made me smile. Carlyle was a funny, sweet 3-year-old, who died in the midst of a weird lightning storm when he was probably struck by a car while running. His Papa found him after the storm, so, yeah, he's gone.
B Kliban is a treasure trove of cartoon magic which includes his documenting of his plethora of cats, mostly tabbies, who were all very pear-shaped, in the best sense of the term. If you or Jack want dark humor, Kliban is your man. Most people see Gary Larsen and think he invented all that absurdity with animals and dinosaurs, but no, Kliban did it first.
Another name I always wanted for a male cat was Hannibal, but this goes way back before SOTL. SSSSSSSSSTTTHHHH!!!
Aw, Mr. Carlisle was probably just anxious and introverted. I'm sure he was. Giggly high school age girls definitely made him nervous. I think he was trying really hard not to accidentally do anything that could be misconstrued as inappropriate. Poor guy. I'm so sorry about your friend's cat. I'd be just devastated.
I'll do some more research into Kliban when I get a chance - I was enjoying the cartoons. I did look him up on Wikipedia but it didn't tell me enough so I'll be diving into the rabbit hole here in a bit.

You know what, I might be the only person under the age of 50 who actually does think of Roman general first. That is a great name. Too bad it doesn't fit any of our guys! You need either a really big Maine Coon for that one, or a tee-tiny little wee cat.
