Olympics
Yesterday we went to the Olympics. We applied for 3 sets of tickets but only got one of them but all things considered if somebody had said that you will only get your third choice of tickets but team GB will get a silver and gold I would have accepted that happily.
Venue was Lea Valley water park which was very nicely laid out and easy to get to on the Liverpool street line. Two events on Womens single Kayak K1 semi and final and Mens double Canoe C2 semi and final. Unfortunately we only had one person in the womens semi and she missed out on the final by one position but both our mens teams got through and they got Silver and Gold.
The amount of noise the crowd created when Florence and Houslow and Braille and Stotte were on was amazing. Literally everyone on their feet making as much noise as possible. And the point when we realised that no matter what happened next we had two teams in the top three was just nuts.
Really pleased I managed to get tickets and the events of the day made up for not getting cycling tickets.
