So a few of us took the lorry to Angel Farm to use their school so we could do a bit of proper jumping now that the ground at home is too wet. It was a really fun outing and proved how badly we need a school as all 3 horses were puffing pretty quickly from doing some real school work.
We will definitely be going to this yard again for schooling and some small shows. It's a gorgeous little place and all the staff were friendly and helpful which was a nice bonus.
My friend Jess came and took pictures for us which is great for seeing what I need to work on. (Elbows in, shoulders back, lengthen the leg and general fitness/weight loss.) Here are a couple of my favourites, more under the cut.
Warming up
J on Merlin
A on Max
Chillin
He makes me so happy
Slightly fresh for the first canter...haha
Then we did some proper schooling to get him focussed before jumping
Can't believe I own this stunning boy
A little behind
A much more sane canter. Shame we didn't get more photos of our cantering as he was being lovely.
The others got to jumping before us
Then we started
Hover Max!
Annette chose a bad moment to move a scary filler! Almost had a run out haha
Gorgeous bascule from Merlin. He's only 6 and looks promising!
Our last jump of the day. Over 'Eric' (who apparently bites)
