This episode saved everything that felt off for me previously. I guess it might be the fact that I love apocalyptic stories and thus the whol setting was awesome. I could have done without the zombies though.
I loved the continuety. I loved that Sam finally went and called Dean and not kept putting it off. I loved the choice Dean made in the end. I can understand him not wanting to give up on either himself nor Sam. I loved the Dean vs. Dean stuff especially because Jensen took such great care of making them both different. I almost teared up even. It's brilliant.
But most of all, I loved Cas. I always love Cas, but the way it started was just brilliant. I loved normal Cas, as uneasy as he is more then Love-Guru-Cas and I really enjoyed the transformation there. He seems so broken and bitter under that orgy-attitude. IT's interesting that he becomes human instead of just giving back his body to Jimmy Novak though.
Is this actually the future or just a version that was concoted Zacharias.
- This voice says I'm almost out of minutes.
- I'll just wait here then.
- President Palin?! That's just frightning.
- Don't you trust yourself? No
- We had an appointment.
The only thing that I found odd was Lucifers choice of garments. It reminded me a lot of Dogma, not the mention that Smallville episode of Lex's future.
Also random trivia. I love seeing actors in other roles. So here is some Lost/SPN crossover.
Lost (last one is both of them)
Supernatural
