Gilmore Girls Fic: R/L Say Hello Chapter Two.
Title: Say Hello Author: Danielle Pairing/Character: Rory/Logan Rating: PG-13 - R-ish (Starts out mild might get steamier though)
Summary: What if Rory wasn’t the only reporter at the Life and Death Brigade’s meeting?
Spoilers/Warnings: All of season 5.
A/N- Just to set something straight (because I don’t think I articulated it very well) There is a spy. And there is a reporter. Two different people with two different agendas. don’t worry it’ll be explained thoroughly…

Chapter One. All we have to lose.
There wasn’t much that could be said about Stephanie Vanderbilt’s family’s townhouse in Manhattan. Of course the words magnificent, lush, and beautiful were a few words that came to Rory’s mind. Her head was still reeling with how she came to be staying at this hardly humble home. The last six hours had been the strangest of Rory’s life and that was saying something considering the town she grew up in. As soon as Rory and Logan had gotten out of New Haven Logan got a phone call from his father explaining everything. Rory had gotten the jest of it though from the article she snatched from the blond wanting Logan’s autograph.
It’s seems she wasn’t the only reporter at the Life and Death Brigade’s meeting last autumn. But unlike herself the other reporter hadn’t been invited and hadn’t been given the rules.
First, no Pictures. There were so many pictures in this exposé of everyone, Logan, Herself, Colin, Finn, Stephanie, Robert and countless other Life and Death Brigade members. At least the other people in the article didn’t have the misfortune of landing on the cover Rory mused.
Second, no names. Everyone was named. But again Rory registered that at least no one was hit as hard as herself and Logan who seemed to be targeted for god knows what reason.
Third, no physical descriptions of any of us. The pictures and the name naming pretty much abolished any sense of anonym that anyone might have had concerning the naughty things they might have done in the past. Rory could almost here the angry parents in there sitting room picking up the phones to call their lawyers.
Fourth, no identification of our location. Apparently they had left Connecticut and traveled into Southern Vermont.
Fifth. The most important condition of all you must agree not to interfere with the integrity of the event. Rory guessed that by reveling all of the Life and Death Brigades secrets that would count as interfering with the integrity of the event. Rory was interrupted from her train of thought when a loud moan across the room erupted.
“This isn’t happening!” Colin cried, “I’m going to jump!” he said running to the window and trying to unlock the hinge.
“Colin get down.” Logan snapped walking over to him and pulling him off the ledge.
“I never tried to seduce a Kennedy!” Stephanie said outraged still reading over the article.
“Yeah you did.” Finn said pouring himself a drink, “Scotch?” he said asking around the room. Rory and Logan shook there heads but Colin walked over and grabbed Finn’s newly poured drink and drank it in one gulp.
“When?” Stephanie asked.
“Two summers ago in Bali I think he was like Maria Shriver’s second cousin or something.” Finn told her pouring himself another drink.
“He was all over me!” Stephanie fumed.
“Why are they picking on me?” Rory asked, “I’m not even a member of the Life and Death Brigade! I’m a reporter!”
“You didn’t tell her?” Colin asked Logan from the other side of the room looking out the window.
“Tell her what?” Rory asked confused.
“I’m sure I’ve mentioned it…” Logan trailed off.
“Mentioned what?” Rory asked again.
“That little jump you took from a hundred feet up was your initiation.” Stephanie told her now pouring herself a drink.
“What?” Rory asked looking at Logan.
“You’d have to of known.” Logan told her.
“That I was joining a group that I neither wanted or asked to join?”
“You had it.” Colin said through a muffled pillow that he was holding over his head.
“Had what?” she asked him.
“The spark, the breeding, that quality that separates the losers from the winners and we had to jump on you before that elitist ’Order of Regius’ society got to you first.” Colin said putting down the pillow.
“Order of what?” Rory asked him.
“Order of Regius.” Colin said annoyed, “Why aren’t they on the cover of TIME?”
“Because someone doesn’t like me and Rory very much.” Logan said speaking up.
“What?” Rory asked again not really seeing what he meant.
“They throw in there little digs about the rest of the members but their character’s aren’t attacked like yours and mine,” he told her, “Listen to this, ‘Lorelai Leigh Gilmore was presented with a custom made ten-thousand-dollar gown from boyfriend and playboy Logan Huntzberger six months later, they in a not surprising move steal a yacht and are picked up by Connecticut’s finest, coincidence? Doubtful.’ what a load of crap.” Logan said throwing the magazine on one of the many coffee tables in the room.
“That was brilliant by the way.” Finn said speaking up, “Really.” he toasted Rory.
“So what now?” Stephanie asked.
“We wait for the older members to take care of it.” Logan said.
“Which will take how long?” Rory asked.
“A week maybe.” Logan told them.
“What are we suppose to do until then?” Finn asked, “Because I vote for strip anything.” he said looking at Rory and Stephanie not noticing their looks of disgust.
“My dad will call in the next hour and tell us what to do next.” Logan told all of them choosing to ignore Finn’s suggestive comment at his girlfriend.
They were all quite for the time being until Rory had to ask, “Did my dress really cost ten-thousand-dollars?”

A/N I hate the first few chapters of any story because there is so much to cover and you have to set up the rest of the story and it’s a pain in the neck. The story (finally!) picks up in the next chapter (which should be longer) and we’ll find out where the reporter (who is working under an Alias) got all of his dirt (well… part of his dirt because technically there are two spy’s/snitches/scorn lovers) The intrigue!
