Lost family members

I've seen both the ending of Torchwood and the beginning of Doctor Who.

Torchwood was depressing.
Exit Wounds - how appropriate, after all Owen was also shot dead, he just kept moving for a while after that.
I'm still pissed I wanted some happiness for Toshiko.
I'm one of those few people who really liked Owen.
Most of all I wish it wasn't them both.
On the other hand it'd be fine by me if Ianto died. Think about the angst for Jack - his brother killing his lover. Good almost noone reads this or I'll be lynched by fangirls.

It was funny that Owen, who already died once and now is a zombie, was more freaked out about dieing then Tosh. She kept doing her job, gave moral support to Owen and then died. If only the rest were up faster instead of wasting time on hugging. You die slowly from stomach wounds but they're also tricky - hard to repair the damage. But it's Torchwood headquarters with all that wonderful tech. Only the doctor wasn't there. He just died. Or rather stopped moving.
Oh, and Owen never knew. He thought she would live on. Somehow it made me even sadder.
They finally connected and even explained the space pig mix up. And with Owen still suffering after his girlfriend death, him getting so drunk Tosh had to fill for him fits storyline so perfectly as if it was always suppose to be like that.

So the rumors were mostly true (Jack's not gone). It means that probably the one of Martha Jones becoming part of team will be true too.
Martha for Owen, but who would take place of Toshiko as the resident genius? Or maybe PC Andy or Rhys will be part of the team. They are on the secret anyway. May turn it into day job.
Oh, and what about Martha's boyfriend?
I dislike stuff done just for shock value - I'm not easily shocked and it make me feel cheated in you did it for the publicity. Captain America death kind of way.
On the other hand shit happens. Bad things usually came in least appropriate moment and people die for stupid reasons and when they shouldn't and could be saved and I actually prefer that to some heroic sacrifice, saving universe kind of way.

Doctor Who, on the contrary, was completely silly (in a good way).
The fat creatures were so cute. And they waved.
And the evil Mary Poppins. Forgot her umbrella.
Most of those people would agree to that pill even if they knew. No pain, eating whatever you want, no health problems + cut aliens = being thin. There would be loads of people volunteering for being surrogate.
Funny thing - my first thought - Donna lost weight. Kind of expected some comment about that or for it to turn out she has taken the pill.

And then Ghost!Rose.
I knew Billie Piper was suppose to be back this season. I didn't know it was going to be so soon. Still I recognized her before she turned her head. The hair made me think Rose.
Less make up and not really her. Someone using ghost machine again?
She seemed to do exactly what Donna did - looking for Doctor where the weird stuff happens.
I like Donna. She should be fun. I wonder if her mother will find more then just keys in this bin.

tv, doctor who, sf, torchwood
