My internet is very wonky today but it seems it is a little better now so before it breakes again here is something awesome.
Benjamin Harff, an art student in Illustration and Graphic Design in Hennef, Germany, created a version of Silmarillion as his diploma project. This version of Silmarillion is calligraphed and hand drawn in the style of Middle Ages books. This makes it incredibly beautiful by itself but if you think what stories it contains it also makes it incredibly appropriate. It almost makes you believe this is the original version he found somewhere. It just so obvious it would've been written like that.
How come no one did that before? And why Tolkien estate didn't grab him already and make a special edition out of it. Just look at it - makes one want to say "My precious".
