It was one of those "late assignment" type dreams - plus, I'd lost the instructions. Had to write a paper (started as a take-home essay test, I think) on a forensic investigation (or that's the only subject I remember). Helped when there was an explanation of the instructions from somebody, but not enough. The instructor announced that all assignments had to be on her desk at 7:25 the next morning in order to receive a grade which, fine, all-nighter, except that - for various reasons - I had trouble working. People interfering with me. I think the printer was even malfunctioning in the library (?) where I was first working. I moved someplace where I could print out (close to but still far away from the instructor's desk), but then was harassed by some crazy homeless man who kept stealing my pages and laughing at what I'd written. He wouldn't leave me alone, and I made serious attempts to kill him (ironic, considering the subject matter of my assignment). He went away at some point - because my subconscious got bored of him by that point, I'm sure. He may have been a problem at the first place where I was working, too.
I got it done, and printed out, and promptly found a typo. I was fretting over that, then found someone (the kid who beat me in the 4th grade spelling bee (!)) marking up my text, finding more typos (spelling errors) all through it. In the meantime, some kid is pointing out how little I've done with my life since then, and I know I'm supposed to be protesting "Oi!" but I'm just not. So now it's 7:15, 7:20, absolutely no chance that I'll get a fresh (and corrected) copy printed and in on time... and I simply say "Fuck it" and decide to bag the assignment (which I'll have failed anyway).
