I really was not terrifically pleased with this episode, to tell you the truth. I felt it was too predictable (see your above point), with too many cliches. But the excessive amounts of Sawyer was very nice. But too little Cholie, I agree.
I thought it was hilariously predictable however. Two of my favorite parts?
#1: Sayid: *watching Sawyer rifling through his stuff with a wry smile* Sawyer: Enjoying yourself? Sayid: *grins a little more* Yes.
#2: Sawyer: *angrily points gun at Jack* Jack: Is this a joke? Sawyer: *breaks with a smile* Yes. Fresh out of pies to throw atcha.
AHAHAHA. BASICALLY THE SAME SCENE. BUT NOT. And in the SAME episode of all things. XD
I was afraid that Sawyer was gonna be the one to kill Jack's dad for some reason. But *whew* that didn't happen. Also, Kate's a poo. Everything that came out of her mouth sounded like poo. Especially when she was talking to Sawyer. She's not very nice to him, in my opinion. Did you get the "knowitall" vibe from her?
Favorite part #3:
Sawyer: *lowers gun away from boar and looks to the side to see Kate* Kate: *smirks knowingly* Me: *maims her* Sawyer: It's just a boar. Let's get back to camp. *manly up-nod* Me: All righty there, Aragorn

I thought it would lead to something more exciting than a comforting Sayid-war-talk that seemed to cure him of all his ailments. Too unsatisfying for me.
I doubt very much we've seen the end of Charlie's issues with the Ethan incident. He seems to have shaken off the gloom for now, sure, but there's no way it's just gone.
Yeah, I'm sure it'll return at some point. But in this episode, I was just hoping to see more... It'd better not be like his withdrawls which spontaneously stopped occuring after a couple days or so. Or at least, we can't really tell that he's under much stress from them anymore. I need me some Cholie plot-twists! *nabs him*
