I had the entire day off today and was determined to get outside and make the most of it. However, a rainstorm this morning made getting out look a little less appealing. Athena continues to eat and keep it down!
Fortunately I came out of the gym after a much-needed workout to see sunshine! I figured it was still too wet for serious hiking, but I went to the zoo for a couple of hours and enjoyed the sunshine and the animals.
I've been finding more little things I can cut out of my workshop application manuscript. I need to write a novel outline and I posted a query about this in the
sfandf_writers community. Right now I have a one page synopsis and I'm not sure this is enough. I still need to do a bit of summary to make up for the entire chapter I got rid of. I am not sure I can really get the draft down to 10,000 words including an outline and make it all the way to the end of the chapter I would like to end with, but I suppose as long as I make it to the scene where the hero and heroine meet, I can call it a wrap.
I am just about glazed over from editing, so I suppose it is time to do something else!
