So, THE REAL LIVE JOURNAL IDOL (LJI) writing competition is starting up *YET* *AGAIN*.
I'm sure that most of my LJ Friends are already familiar with the competition through my previous participation, but for those of you who aren't: It's a free "contest" that encourages creative writing of all sorts... and it's an excellant way for aspiring authors to learn the tools of the trade. If you have the slightest interest in writing, first take a look at the FAQ via this link:

As for me: Well, I recently told the host of LJI that I intended to compete, and I hate to disappoint him...
*SIGH* Look, I have generally enjoyed participating in LJI, but it has always been stressful for me... and my life has gone crazy again. In all seriousness, I may need to move out of my apartment soon, at least temporarily -- The ceiling is leaking, and it's going to need to be repaired or completely replaced. And even though the folks responsible for the leak are legally responsible to pay for the furnishings that got damaged, the actual clean-up and replacement process is going to be a major headache. Not to mention how I'm worried the emotional stress may aggrivate a serious health issue I'm currently dealing with,
as can be seen here.
So, with all that said, I really have no choice but to compete. After all, I'm going to need some sort of distraction from my real-world problems... and the insanity that is LJI will be the perfect distraction. Gotcha.
(and just to make this "officially official": this post serves as my NOTICE OF INTENT to compete in Season 10 of THE REAL LIVEJOURNAL IDOL.)
