Ella woke up wanting to keep screaming. She managed to repress that as she realized that, despite being devoured from the head down by a land shark the night before, she was now whole and apparently uninjured.
She decided to be grateful for the strange magic that left her unharmed, and made a vow never to open the door to an unexpected guest again as she forced herself out of bed and started getting ready for the day, casting a guilty glance at the still-unanswered letter on her desk.
