I really want to thank everyone that gave me hugs and best wishes after my car accident. It really helps, quite a bit, to know that there are people out there that care about you. All the virtual love really got me back on my feet, and here I am to live another day.
And so, since I was away during the time that the "5 weird things about me" meme was going around and I'm strangely energized, I'm deciding to do it now. Actually, I had to ask my best friend and boyfriend what some of my quirks are, so while they may not be weird to all of you, they were weird for them. ;)
1. I can't stand having my hair the same for more than 3 months. I get it dyed 4 times a year, and it has to be different every time. Now that I've found a colour that I like the best, I'm having fun with different colour hi-lights, and I think I may get a perm.
2. When I was little I had a fear of something grabbing my feet from under the couch, so my legs had to be up on it. Part of this has stayed with me, because whenever I'm watching a scary movie or a thriller, I have to have my feet up on the couch with me. The same for in the movie theatres -- if I'm scared, the feet come up onto the chair. (not just scary movies, though, this includes, like, HP:GoF when they're in the labyrinth.
3. My favourite form of affection is the nuzzle. If I know you, and I like you, there's a pretty good chance that I'll use my head to nuzzle into your shoulder / neck. Like a cat. And if get mad, I stomp like a two year old, and say "no" like my two year old godson (emphasis on the "n" sound). Apparently, according to my boyfriend, I also growl when frustrated.
4. I get really, really excited and obsessed about something for a short period of time before moving on to my new obsession. My best friend remarked, "You'll get into something, usually something that has to do with your 'secret' internet life, and that's all your mind will fixate on for a few days. If you could have that same obsession with your school assignments, you'd have the best grades in the class." I guess I tend to push other things by the wayside when I'm really excited. Explains why I never have anything done on time on Thursday mornings.
5. I'm a very squeamish person. Usually, watching CSI is too much and I have to shut my eyes for a good portion of the show. I don't like the site of blood, and have never given blood, even though that something that my personality would suggest I would do. I had to get a vaccination, and almost cried before even getting the needle. I have to get my wisdom teeth out, and have been procrastinating on that surgery for 2.5 years. You'd think that with the amount of pain that they're giving me, that I'd rather the surgery to the headaches, but no. Just today I made the appointment for the consultation, and that's only because my boyfriend MADE me do it.
Okay, so not that weird, but whatever. I'm supposed to tag 5 people now, and so since all my LOST friends have done it (except for antipholus_, who I'm now tagging), I'm flipping it over to my West Wing friends. elvenjen4, kiss_me_cassie, kiraboshi, and cherryice, and just for good measure, I'll force this one on pookha as well, because she's not around enough, and should be forced into these things. ;)
